Greetings, in the Name of Jesus!
I will take this opportunity to provide a brief overview of the exciting and vital Missions Ministry at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. It is our charge to operate in the vision of the Church, which is based on Matt 28: 19-20, "...Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything Jesus commanded…" Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we make disciples locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
Our charge is accomplished through several active ministries that strive to serve God and exalt the name of Jesus. They include, but are not limited to prayer, prison ministry, evangelism, visiting the sick and international missions.
Because of generous givers, we are able to take the gospel on the road and support vital partner ministries who share our vision.
I thank God for sustaining us as we carry out the great commission by impacting our community, our nation and our world. I thank Him for blessing our endeavors to sow the Gospel, and that under the direction of our Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. James L. Graham, Jr., that the harvest of souls will continue to be great. God has rewarded the ministry with an awesome and committed team, who work diligently to honor Jesus, our Savior.
In His service,
Pastor Sheila Allen
