GOD'S UNFAILING PROTECTION.

Tanya White-Deyo is the busy, hardworking divorced mother of eight-year-old Kirk and an older son, Micah White.  Recently, on her way back from work one night, she was in a major car accident. "Praise be to God," says Tanya, "I was able to walk away from the crashed up vehicle with minor injuries."  As Tanya recalls, she momentarily fell asleep at the wheel, and just moments before impact, she jammed on her brakes.  But the brakes failed, and she plowed into another car.  Thank God, the other driver was unhurt and suffered no damage to his BMW.  Says Tanya, "Even while the accident was happening, I didn't feel like I would be hurt.  And thank God, I wasn't.  I am so sorry that I hit someone else, but I am so thankful that I didn't hurt her either."

Tanya's car, unfortunately, had to be towed away, which meant that she had no way to pick up her son or to get home.  But even then, the Lord was making a way.  "I was 40 miles away from home, but the tow truck driver got a call to go to the Metro station to help another stranded traveler," says Tanya.  "So, he was able to drop me off at the Metro so I could get home."  Not only that, a friend picked up Kirk, took him to another friend of Tanya's, who picked her up and took them both home.  Concludes Tanya, "I don't have family members in the area, but I do praise God that I have a 'family' that God has provided through my little network of friends." Tanya has been a member of MPBC for six years and sings with the Women of Praise.
