OUR MISSION:
To train up God’s people into the knowledge, faith, power and application of intercessory prayer in order to lift up the Name of Jesus and to intercede on behalf of others, by boldly approaching the throne of grace, speaking and listening to God.
“And when they had prayed the place was shaken where they were assembled together and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and they spake the word of God with boldness.”

OUR MISSION STATEMENT:
We submit to Christ as the Head of the church and strive to obey His command that His church should be called a “House of Prayer.” With faith, we humbly seek the will of God in all things. We pray using the word of God as our guide and to hear from heaven with positive expectation. We view intercessory prayer as a mighty tool, utilized to undergird the Church universal and believe that the prayers of the righteous avail much. We give God the glory in all aspects of this prayer ministry.

WHEN WE MEET AND WHAT WE DO:
Our Intercessory Prayer Ministry is an anointed group of believers who meet at MPBC to pray every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 6PM. Our normal meeting place is in classroom 12L; however, this location is subject to change, based on the lead of the Holy Spirit and the number of participants. We pray according to the Word of God and by the power of the Holy Spirit for individual prayer requests and for:
- Mount Pleasant Baptist Church – our pastor, leadership, ministries and congregation
- The Church of Jesus Christ – our partners, ministries across our nation and worldwide
- Spreading of the Gospel of Jesus and Saving of Souls – in our families, local communities, country and worldwide
- Victorious, Abundant Life that Jesus Paid All for with His Blood – Kingdom living including: righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit; divine healing and health; prosperity; wisdom; deliverance; safety; protection; strength; blessings; freedom; special anointing; greater love of God, His Word, His worship and praise; love for one another; to know the fullness of God; and that we fully mature as sons and daughters of the Most High God to do His glorious work.
- Our Country, Israel and World Leaders – including our president, service men and women, heads of nations, governments, corporations for righteous leadership, peace and protection.
OUR APPROACH:
The Intercessory Prayer Group exercises our individual rights as believers to come boldly to the throne of grace to find help – and pray together collectively in one accord for even greater power and authority as directed by the Word:
“Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
