iRep College Day

Mount Pleasant Baptist Church of Herndon is hosting it’s FIRST “iRep College Day”! If you are in grades 8th to 12th, a parent or guardian of a student in those grades or you are seeking military, college and/or career information, you are invited to this event. Here you will receive financial aid guidance and answers to many of your post high school questions as well as many colleges and universities around the country, various military branches and careers will be represented. This is a FREE event and open to the community but registration is required to receive your entrance ticket. Click the link below.

MPBC Photo Directories Are Here and Going Fast!

You may pick up your copy(s) from the Lobby before, between (time permitting), and after our Sunday 8:30 and 10:30 services. Directories will also be available before Wednesday night Bible Studies. Gentle Reminder: If you provided a photo image for the Memorial or Military section of the Directory, and it has not been returned to you, please do not forget to request it from Deaconess Ellis.

Reminder Regarding Distribution Requirements: Your signature will be required when you pick up your Directory, so please be patient as this may slow down the distribution line. If you are picking up a Directory for someone else, a written note must be provided to the MPBC Directory Team for accountability. Education Ministry: Scholarship Applications

ALL GRADUATING SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS! The MPBC Scholarship Application Package will be available during church office hours: 9am—6pm from the Education Ministry. The “Completed” application package is due no later than Sunday, May 6, 2018. Please contact the Director of Education, Rev. Young Adult Ministry ~ College Ministry

Calling all golfers, golf enthusiasts, and those who just believe in giving back to our kids. The Northern Virginia Chapter of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives is proud to host the 24th Annual James E. Childs Scholarship Golf Tournament to be held on June 4, 2018, at Brambleton Golf Course, Ashburn, VA. The funds generated from the annual golf tournament are used to assist deserving students in their pursuit of higher education. As a result of last years tournament 7 (seven) Mt. Pleasant undergraduate students were blessed with well over $4,000 in scholarship funds. Let us ensure that we provide our students with even more this year! For more information please contact Bro. College Ministry

Attention ALL 2018 GRADUATES -- High School, College, Continuing Education and Military Graduates. Please mark your calendars and save the date as we have begun planning our MPBC 2018 Graduation Celebration on June 10, 2018. In order to plan this special day we need your information! Please complete the 2018 Graduate Information Forms located in the church lobby and turn them in. Along with your form send in your "Camera-ready” JPEG or similarly compressed photos to be added to the graduate presentation that will be shown to the entire church. Even if you cannot attend, we still need your information to be included in the presentation. Feed the Hungry Ministry: FoodFight

At least 6,200 children die worldwide each day as a result of malnutrition and hunger-related diseases. Mt. Pleasant is participating in an event called Food Fight. In partnership with New Hope Church, were fighting the battle against world hunger. Although it’s a three-day packing event, Mt. Pleasant will participate on May 5, 2018, from 9:00-11:30 am and 12:30-3:00 pm at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, Virginia. Just let us know which slot and how many will participate. The tangible goal of this community-wide event is packing and providing 5 million meals to feed nearly 14,000 hungry children around the world for a year. Please con- tact Rev.
