RESPONSIBILITIES

• It shall be the duty of the trustees to act as custodians of the property of the church and to take all necessary measures for its protection and management. 

• We have the duty of exercising all legal business, executing the debts and obligations binding upon the church, and the preparation and letting of all business contracts. 

•  We shall not obligate the church beyond the current budget without specific vote of the church. 

• We shall not exercise bids or purchases in excess of $500 without written contracts. All uses of the church building or parts thereof, church equipment, and grounds shall be under the direction of the trustees, including the assignment of room or other spaces for all purposes and the reservation of equipment and grounds. 

• In addition to the election of the chairman the trustees shall maintain an up-to-date ledger of meeting minutes including dates, attendees, decisions, and important events. Contract documents shall be safeguarded and filed.
