Pastor Lyle Dukes Biography
Lyle Dukes is the Senior Pastor and Founder of the Harvest Life Changers Church, an innovative and progressive ministry, located in Woodbridge, Virginia. He has served in this position, with his wife, Co-Pastor Deborah Dukes, since the inception of the church in 1995.
Pastor Dukes was saved at an early age and received his foundational training at the Love of Christ Church, under the leadership of Bishop Carver E. Poindexter and Co-Pastor Lorene Poindexter, the parents of Co-Pastor Dukes. With over 25 years of sacrificial and dedicated service to the Lord, Pastor Dukes is a visionary with a tenacious drive to push “God’s Agenda”.
Pastor Lyle Dukes is anointed to reach and preach the Word of God with simplicity and his speaking engagements take him across the country and abroad. He holds a bachelors degree from the University of Virginia as well as a Masters of Divinity Degree from Faith Bible College and Seminary. Pastor Dukes has also served as a Commissioned Officer in the United States Army.
“Impacting and life changing” describes the ministries of Pastor Dukes and Harvest Life Changers Church with effective outreach programs including an international television program, a regional radio program, world missions outreach as well as Christian bookstores, a record label (The Sound of Harvest), a publishing company (Harvest Word Publishing), community self-improvement courses (GED program, computer and financial courses, etc) and numerous community service projects (prison and social service outreach). He has been invited to the White House on several occasions to meet with President George Bush and Secretary State Condoleeza Rice to discuss pertinent issues that face our communities today.
Along with his wife, Pastor Dukes is the executive producer of both Harvest Life Changers Church Mass Choir CDs, which include the Top 20 CD entitled “In His Presence” He has been featured, along with Co-Pastor Dukes, as one of the Gospel Industry’s Hottest Couples in Gospel Today Magazine where he serves as a member of the Pastor’s Advisory Board.
Pastor Dukes is the author of several books and articles including, The Ministry In You, Let Us Pray, Give It To Me Straight and Three Steps in Defeating Temptation and the co-author of The What Works The Best Principle.
