Mount Pleasant Response to the Crisis in Haiti
The following is our initial response to the crisis in Haiti.
Prayer and fasting – we are praying for the people and country of Haiti during our morning, noon, and evening prayer times and asking the members and friends join us each Tuesday for fasting and prayer for Haiti.
Sacrifice – we asking our membership and friends to sacrifice one meal a day for forty days and contribute the monetary equivalent to our church’s Haiti mission fund
Collection of essential toiletries – we are collecting and shipping toilet tissue, soap, toothpaste and hand-sanitizer
Work with mission partners – we will work with Bethesda Ministries, Lott Cary, and SBC disaster relief organizations to help with continual relief.
Mission trips to Haiti - we will be sending team (s) to Haiti to assist our partners with ministry and humanitarian operations.
“Attention Church Family” in order to facilitate a more orderly worship experience, while the Preached Word is going forth we will begin seating worshippers entering the sanctuary in reserved seating at rear of the sanctuary. If you are seated in the sanctuary and have to leave once the preaching begins please take your belongings and/or accompany your children as you may be asked to sit in a different location upon your return. This change will help our recording process as well as allow everyone to receive all that God has for them through the spoken Word! We appreciate in advance your support with this change.
